Good God, Octane Orange, that is one ambitious project you have there! And of my all-time favorite car at that!
It was the only car I fell in love with at first sight (in 1982, so three years before BTTF). The only real one I got to sit in was at a used car dealership. They were unfamiliar with what they had and were eager to sell it, so they offered to let me take it for a spin. But, just like in the climax of the movie, the car wouldn't start! The dead battery couldn't be accessed because the hood release handle cable had been ripped out of the dashboard. I thought that I would live the dream, but the dream was short lived. A few weeks later, I drove past the dealership and saw the car perched on their front outdoor display, with the doors open and the lawn sprinklers shooting water into the car. So sad...
Excellent work so far. Good luck on your build, and I will be watching with great interest!
