tail light
Posted by goodidea on Friday, February 10, 2012 9:40 AM

I have lost a tail light from a Tamiya 1966 volkswagen. Clear plastic, was eaten by the carpet monster. Any thoughts about where I might find a replacement?

Beat the carpet monster into submission! If you haven't cleaned the floor, you should be able to find it. You can contact Tamiya or the distributor in your region for replacement parts. Or old school...carve a new one from a piece of clear sprue or a light brite peg.

Found an e-mail address for Tamiya. After a couple of exchanges they sent the missing tail light. It arrived today. No charge, no postage. Great customer service.

Thank you Tamiya

Good to know about that.

I fight the carpet monster with a canvas tarp I put down under my chair and hobby table. It keeps him at bay.
