Many of these Revell kits came out when I was a kid and the detailed, fragile parts were difficult to handle. Probably te biggest issue for a contest build is dealing with mold seams and artifacts on the chrome parts. You might consider stripping off the chrome, cleaning up the parts and then refinishing with alclad.

I built one several years ago,No major issues with assembly.The hardest part was the decals,The large decal in the rear requires me to float the decal in water and dunk the body in to put it on.

Anyone have any advice?  I want to enter it in the 4H Fair this summer.  Should b here any day now.
