2010 Ford Mustang GT Coupe
Posted by Mr Mike on Sunday, April 8, 2012 11:21 AM

Since I have the '10 GT Convertible almost done, I decided to take the leftover parts from the snap kit and add them to the remains of the GT Coupe kit. The GT Coupe will be a curbside...no engine.

The paint is Model Master Citrus Yellow Metallic No. 28101.

The body has been painted and will be clearcoated with Tamiya TS-13 Gloss Clear and polished after decals have been applied.

More to come...

More progress on the GT Coupe. I detail painted the chassis.

The body has been clearcoated, polished, and decaled.

This morning I did a mockup the chassis with the body, wheels, tires, brakes, and metal axles to see how it sits. In my eyes, it is sitting right where it should. Not too high or too low.

I painted the interior floor pan with flat black paint. I recently bought some embossing power to try as carpet and with the tutorial in the April 2012 issue of Scale Auto Magazine, I am going to give it a try.

The rest of the interior pieces where painted with satin black.

More to come...

My '10 Mustang GT Coupe is finished.

I would like to thank all those who took the time to view and to comment on my WIP.

What color did you use for the undercarriage?

I used Tamiya Titanium Gold and Humbrol Gunmetal with the kit black plastic.

Looks good, but it's paint kinda reminds me of baby food.

What 'left over parts' did you use from the convertible?

Baby food?!!  What kind of baby food are you eating? Big Smile  I used the chassis, wheels, tires and axles from the convertible kit.
