Finally got the tach done. Maybe I can get the body on the chassis this weekend.

Yes, it is the combo kit. Very nice kit. I'm not sure if I will do more cars, but I have enjoyed this one and have 3 more Dart kits and a few other Mopars. Lots of planes in the stash and I'm getting behind on my build for the Bf109 group build. Thanks for even thinking it could be on a magazine!

Was this build on the cover of a previous Auto modeler magazine?

Received a E-mail for a free issue and noticed the cover of a issue looks a lot like you car.

All good as its inspirational to follow along with a excellent build!Cool

oh man that looks GORGEOUS! ive always been a Mopar fan (my grandfather is furious lol) and it's nice to see something more than a mustang, camaro, or corvette built. this is the "special Edition" kit right? has both the stock and race options? if so, i highly recommend getting the 1968 Dodge Charger kit as well.....turns into a nice build, even if you dont add much more than plug wires. Great detailing by the way! nice to see a true superdetail job on a car:)

Very little action on this board, but that's ok. I  post to keep myself motivated to get things done. Clear parts installed and foiling done.

Finished the left engine compartment wiring harness. Took a while and I'm glad to be moving on. I guess the next step is finishing the body. Windows, sunvisors, domelight, etc.

Nice work, great detailing-looking forward to seeing more pics.

I have this kit in the stash along with the *** Landy decals to go on it....once I get the nerve to get started....

That must have been great. I hope to do Larry's car justice.

Great to see this car again! I worked with Lee Smith, Larry's nemesis at the local drag strip! His Road Runner and Barracuda always seemed to edge him at the finish.

The graphics are decal from Slixx for Larry Griffith's car. The engine details are made from photo-etch, plastic rod and strip, copper wire and jewelry wire.

Looks great!

The graphic down the side, is this a decal or something you scratch built?

Could you post some close-ups of the engine details? Us Mopar fans will appreciate the tutorial.

Thanks in advance!

Trying my hand at car modelling. I usually build planes but I have always liked Hemi Darts. The Revell kit is nice but leaves out a lot of details specific to the Hemi cars. I've done a fair amount of research to get it closer but I'm sure I've missed some things. Also things like gloss paint and foiling are new to me. I started last year and then stopped building for 7 months. Back at it now and hope to be able to pull it together.
