RC 1/15 Knight Rider Acrylic X-22 Clear Consistency mix

Help i have had to repaint my unique Knight Rider using my Model Spray gun Gloss Black in Acrylic Tamiya, it orange peiled, so i got the mix wrong in the thinners, after a respray of Black Primmer, i attempted again and great the paint job has turned out perfect,

My Problem is this if be a problem, i want that gloss glass long lasting shine on the body work, I have Tamiya X-22 CLEAR ready to spray on, do i mix this to thin it down for the Spay gun with Acrylic normal Thinners and from your knolege what is the mixture of how much X-22 to Acrylic Thinner please advise will be gladly accepted as this knight rider will not be if the paint job with protective hogh gloss finnish is not a high gloss finnish, as i have hurd and read some bad reports about glossing.

Or do you recommend another option to gloss the knight rider car up, taking in mind the paint job for a first timmer is briliant, i just made one mistake 2nd time round briliant now i no the mixture is around 1 part paint to 1 part thinner all acrylic of course.

and i have only just found out enamals can be used in a spray gun, in all cases in mind when finnished clean spray gun up ASAP.

From Dave. i dont want to spoil this paint job have i also done right deciding on Tamiya X-22 for a high gloss finnish and do i need to use a Laquer thinner

as far as i'm aware, you'll be able to spray x-22 with no problems to preserve shine. you do mix it with thinners, ratio is same as any other tamiya paint. If you don't clear coat, you can polish the black paint instead. keeping a good shine is a matter of reapply polish when needed. For an RC car with possible crash and stone chipping paint, a clear coat may be better lasting.
