Making this a post apocalyptic ride... The window armor and bed box are all from scratch. Painting is moving right along albeit slow...I struggled whether to put this in Autos or Armor since I am a treadhead but it's a civilian car so I chose to put it here.

very interesting build- in whatever category- I like the rusty plate, looks like it hasn't been on too long, and is starting to rust--Nice

Coming along VERY nicely. Toast Is there an interior behind those hinged windows? Looks Great.

Cool, love the post apocalyptic world of improvised armor.  Great job!

Thanks guys!

Jim, there is an interior and not a bad one but little or nothing will be visible in the end. I have a M134 mini gun to mount in the bed.

Just finished that book (World war Z) its a good read.

I like what your doing, its really cool. You have to add a bolo to it somewhere. (For those not familiar with the book, a bolo is a battle axe/shovel used by the anti zombie squads, invented in whats left of the US, made out of a single piece of steel)

On thing is certain, when zombie apocalyse comes those Toyota pick up's are probably the last cars driving. Top Gear had a feature for during one season on how much they could damage a Hilux and it would still be driving.

Cool model, it already captures the right look/mood of a post-apocaliptic world.

Ha i remember that episode, the failed in destroying it. Even after setting it on fire, hitting it with a wrecking ball, etc it still started and drove away.

This is awesome! I'm actually looking into seeing if anyone is interested in doing a "Civilian Zombie Response Vehicle" Group Build. Any chance you'd be interested in joining?
