AMT's 2011 Chevy Camaro Engine

Thats is part of an  RPO list (production) for the 2010 camero.   The 4.3l is still around and is still placed in 2013 models.  Now...Theres a RUMOR,  only a rumor that the 2014 models will no longer have the 4.3l and instead will have the 3.6l from the GMC terrain, chevy equinox, GMC arcadia...  GM will not release any info on the 2014 models until sometime late December.  If your interested message me the last eight of your vin and I can tell you things (things you may already know)  such as production build, recalls, history, where it was built, etc etc.  I  can not get any information about you as a person so you dont have to worry about that.

Disclaimer:  I am not promting GM or GM products,  In fact if they would have done it right the first time I wouldnt exist.  I am not their friend in a nice way to put it. 

Anyhow back to Modeling!  You need details!  I got provide some if you like.

Did they do away with the 4.3 Vortec ? I don't see it on your list.

I was just gonna say...let me get you guys an rpo code list?  Depends if you want the L99, LS3,...2010. Sec....this is from service information.  BTW im a Master technician for General Motors (chev, gmc, buick..anything)  if you have any question feel free to ask.  My sources are unlimited when it comes to this stuff.

Does the revell 2010 camaro have the correct engine?

A 350 Vortec is a Gen I 5.7L (except for the Gen III LS1 Vette Engine).  You're right, the 4.3L Vortec six is basically a 350 with two less cylinders.  However, the modern Gen III and Gen IV Vortec is a much different animal.  

Externally, the 5.3L and 6.2L Gen III Vortecs are the same. Just a larger bore (same stroke) in the 6.2L  engine. 

The Camaro engine is a Gen IV however. Check pictures of the LS3 or LS99 Gen IVs against the LM7 or LQ4 Gen III engines to ID any differences. The  Camaro cover is probably unique too.

 BTW, you may be able to get a Gen IV engine from a late Corvette kit. Just a thought.

That would be a 5.3 or a 350 cid, I know because I have a 1:1 4.3 vortec and the V6 in my GMC Sonoma is an 8 cylinder with two cylinders cutoff. The 6.2 liter engine is equal to 378.3472 cubic inches. I know I can use a V-8 engine for it, but the cover is somewhat difficult

Here is the motor they put in the Camaros

Revell has a 1999 Silverado pickup with a Vortec in it. Either a 5.3 or 6.2L  (I don't think there is much difference externally).

I recently got one for $13 shipped on Amazon.com with Amazon Prime.

 As far as what it looks like, do a google search for "6.2L Vortec". It's a common GM engine and a popular engine for swapping into hot rods, jeeps, etc.
