Very nice! I've got this kit in the stash, might just have to pull it out & get started on it now!

I wish I could find a 440-6 Pack in the same scale to set alongside it.

Very nice build. I love seeing the imaginative use of materials for your detailing. Excellent!

Very cool build you got going on there.  Makes me want to dig out an old Entex rotary engine kit for future consideration.

Don, I have seen both of these models for sale from time to time on E-Bay.

It's really sad when the only model tool you own is a box cutter.

Truly awesome. I am a big engine fan and wish there were more engine kits on the market. Williams Bros is back in business under new proprietors, and have repoped two of their old aircraft engine kits, but ones I have already built.

I'll look for that hemi. Your build has inspired me.

I assembled and detailed this model several years ago. I had a lot of fun detailing it with various components that you see every day but would not think of as automotive parts. Although the engine is glued together, I used a slew of 1-72 socket head cap screws to simulate the real thing. I spent a lot of time modifying the carburetors with venturis and linkage. These photos were taken before I installed the thermostat in the engine.

I made the valve cover decals out of scaled down copier transparencies applied with double back tape.

The sending units are really the valve bodies from BIC lighters!

I also have the HAWKE  1/4 scale versioin

Finally, I made the thermostats from the little clasps that you hold name tags on with.

I'm currently working on a clutch/pressure plate set up. The clutch plate is a cut down piece that fell out of an old CD player I was throwing out!

It's really sad when the only model tool you own is a box cutter.
