kenposan it looks absolutely horrible, which is the point. great job! love to see the 'old' and 'restored' next to each other; it'd make a cool little scene

"Whaddya mean 'Who's flying the plane?!' Nobody's flying the plane!"
Your model looks GREAT!! I really like the "in the weeds" weathered look. Lots of details to look at. Again, a very nice job. How about this relic?

It's really sad when the only model tool you own is a box cutter.
Damn fine job!!! I can almost smell the rust and decaying rubber!
Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"
Thanx guys for the feedback.
Yes, we are in fact our own biggest critics.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice....
Fabulous job! Looking at those photos, you can almost smell the birds' nests.

Looks great to me. As I am sure you have been told before "We are our own worst critics". Don't be so hard on yourself. Been there, done that.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
Nothing wrong with it at all, unless you want to buff it out to a showroom shine. Looks like a good home for rabbits!

Don't feed the CM!
I noticed things like the hole resulting from the missing mirror and door lock, nice touches. As you said, a junk car is a challenge- I like yours.
looks pretty convincing. i like the broken windscreen and rusty engine
hide it behind a barn to complete the look.
My Photo Album
This is my first attempt at creating an old, weathered field car. I have mixed feelings regarding the results. My facebook friends love it. But as I'm sure is probably the case with many around here, I see nothing but the faults when I view the pics. This is a Revell/Monogram 1/24 kit.
While building a weathered subject does widen the margin for error, it also seems as though it adds to the workload. I have a duplicate of this kit and plan on building a "restored" version of this car in the near future.
