This is cool. i like it when you can update a toy to get a cool subject. it'd be even cooler if it was fully weathered.

Bob

Thanks for the kind words, I enjoy re working old models...if I had the oppotunity to do another Mack, I'd build a "water sprayer" with a water tank instead of a dump body. I saw a scratch built 1:6 model of a bulldog water spray truck, used to keep dust down on dirt streets. The entire model was built of brass and was unpainted, a fantastic piece of model building....Thanks again.

Yup, it looks like it was " Built like a Mack Truck " ... so the saying goes.  Thanks for the idea. I have an old coin bank that I should try to do something with. Your truck looks great.            Bob

Here's my latest diecast  conversion. It started out as a tank truck (coin bank) with the old style hard rubber tires and "chrome" spoke wheels. I added a scratch built dump body, new wheels, new tires, added a wood windshield(with wiper), air horn, bull dog radiator cap, grab irons, front bumper, rear views, tool boxes, side curtins, gear shift, emergency brake, lift  pistons for the dump body, and a two tone paint job. As always a fun job!
