I remember building this years ago. the only problem I can remember was the doors didn't fit well.

Be prepaired  to preform "MAJOR" surgery to get them to hang just right.

Or just glue them shut and the problem is solved.

I also used a Corvett grill from a 55 model year and it looked great.

Nothing wrong with the stock grill ... I just wanted something different.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

Building a Revell 57 Nomad Kit #7163

Hi!

Normally I'm into aircraft, but I've always wanted a 57 Nomad, this might be as close as I get to owning one! Tongue Tied

But before I start it, has anyone ever built this kit? I'm thinking it's a discontinued or older model. it's the only one I've seen that offers opening doors, hood, tailgate and liftgate. Any tips folks have would be greatly appreciated.

I'm considering doing a photo log of the build, and I really want to do a great job of it. So I'm also wondering about aftermarket goodies for 1/25th models such as realistic door, hood tail and lift gate hinges, etc. I have a lot of questions for this model like where could i get authentic colors for the interior  and exterior, wiring for the engine compartment, etc. I really don't know much about detailing cars so I hope I'm not biting off more than I can chew. I'd like to make it stock. So if any of you master car modelers don't mind a noob chewing on your ear asking tons of questions that would be great!

thanks!

Bill
