Early NASCAR seat belts?
Posted by Don Stauffer on Saturday, April 20, 2013 9:06 AM

I am building the Revell 1950 Olds car as a NASCAR car (Buck Baker).  I cannot find any interior photos of that era that show t he style of seat belt buckle they used.  Was it the military aircraft style (metal to metal) or the civil type that was fabric locked by cam shaped buckle?

Don, I have an old photo of Glenn (Fireball) Roberts in what looks to be a early 50's Pontiac.  He is strapped in with what looks like the aircraft lap belt. (Wide)  I see no shoulder  belts in the car.  Hope that helps some.   Romm.

Nothing ever fits……..and when it does, its the wrong scale.

To make mistakes is human.  To blame it on someone else shows management potential.
