a good first 1/20 formula 1 car

i am considering building a race car this year. my comfort zone is expanding i even have a motorcycle kit and i am building a fire jeep and a couple of fire trucks for a GB. i have a number of posts in armor with my builds. i build warwheels; AFVs, IFVs and trucks and locomotives. i enjoy detail work though 1/700 PE is taking it to extremes. thanks

I've only built one of those types of cars in my life and I went with a Tamiya 1/20 scale Ferrari 312T3. It was a fun build with an un-fun masking scheme.

Waynec,

Tamiya's Ferrari F2001 is a good kit as well as the Bennetton B192.  Very simple masking on both models and very pretty cars IMO.  Also, Tamiya's Lotus 25 is nice if you're into vintage F1.

Cheers,

Wayne

Look into a John Player Special Lotus.. Tamiya I think it was made the... 78? I think it was. The parts fit is exceptional, it's all black paint, and its old enough there isn't any carbon fiber detail to worry about.

Excuse me.. Is that an Uzi?
