Ford & Chevy Pickups
Posted by PatW on Monday, August 26, 2013 10:05 AM

I was searching my shelves for the next project when I found these in a box. The Ford had a nerf bar off and the Chevy had bumpers, grill and a side pipe in the bottom of the box.

I can't remember when I built them but had put them in there to fix up when time allowed. Like now!

The Ford I polished the plastic and sprayed on a gloss clear but the Chevy is so old I had brush painted it!

And as part of the minor referb I painted the rear lights with a clear red over the chrome.

Thanks Steve. Yes I was surprised suddenly coming across them and that I hadn't seen them for years.

Thanks, It's always nice to see them back to normal, in the cabinet rather than hidden in a box!

I like how the taillights look! I might do the same with my Minicraft Rolls Royce Silver Cloud.

Yes Jim I looked at these whilst seeing what could be done to enhance them. As I had left the taillights in chrome, the only way forward was to try a red acrylic clear and it works!
