What a work of art! A pleasure to view.
excellent work on the weathering, which is obviously the highlight of this build. The mini diorama is neat too.

Very cool. I especially like the rotted truck box, the missing 'r', and the rag in the gas spout. Very cool build.

mississippivol That's too cool! I'm kinda surprised that she isn't swinging the ol' Louisville Slugger, though! Glenn

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
One fall Saturday a friend asked me to come by and help him with a "project" he had lined up. I helped him tow home a rusted and battered Ford Pickup he had purchased and park in his driveway. When I made the remark that "I am surprised Donna let you buy that", he went silent for a while and then said, "I didn't tell her". We looked over his prize for a while and then "Donna" his wife came home. I stayed long enough to see her mood and hear her voice raise when she looked at him and said, "You Paid What"? Well, the two are still married but my friend no longer has the truck. That day is what inspired me to build this model.
The body was damaged and dented followed by a coat of grey primer. Paint is Floquil Railroad Colors Light Blue. All weathering was done with a Rust-All kit and Pastels.
The rusted muffler and exhaust was first damaged and a baffle added then painted flat black. while wet it was rolled in baking soda and excess removed when dry. Different shades of pastels were added and then a coat of dull coat. The grease and oil stains are Vaseline mixed with black pastel dust.
The chipped paint was done with the "Salt" method and the wood floor in the bed is balsa planks.
Nothing ever fits……..and when it does, its the wrong scale.
To make mistakes is human. To blame it on someone else shows management potential.
