Jibber....painfully, British Racing Green is one of those colors that has about 30 different "correct" colors.

Some are brighter green, some much darker.  In truth - a bit of green with black added is pretty close.

But - if there's a paint manufacturer that has a paint that they call British Racing Green, it'll be close enough.  Go for it.

Cheers, LeeTree

Jib, if your not too picky, Testors has the British Racing Green in rattle cans and the bottle.  Its not spot on  but is close.  And yes, the clear to finish.

Nothing ever fits……..and when it does, its the wrong scale.

To make mistakes is human.  To blame it on someone else shows management potential.

Sorry, one more question. What paint and color would I use on English Racing Green? Once painted, I would think a coat of clear gloss to finish? Can you tell I'm not a car guy...

the 'modern' bmw mini by revell is actually quite a good kit. and the oldies (austin/morris) from tamiya is up to their usual standard. never built fujimi ones.

Tamiya has some older stile Mini's. I am working on a rally Mini right now.  Real good build with good detail

Hey jibber,

I'm currently doing the Airfix gift pack that has 2 Mini's in it.  As for construction it is a very well made kit.  There are a few things that lack detail.  The undercarriage has a little detail, but the tires really lack detail.  They are slick!  No treads at all.  All in all the kit is really nice and it has 2 in the box!

I have the AX50126 Kit.

If you'd like some pics of the kit, just let me know.  You can see some of my update pic in the Automotive GB.

Hope this helps.

Hi, I need to give a Mini Cooper as a gift and I'm wondering which kit builds up into the best kit. Probably in 1/24. Thanks
