Nice beetle. It's a good gift to give, and i've done a few.
For a friend's 60th birthday, i gave him a model of the bus he drove for work. to make it useful, i added a business card holder.

I have a friend who was given a 1/35 scale VW Beetle which was the same as his first car. As he is not a modeller I put it together for hime and put it in a case. The back of the case had a photo of a house so it looked like it was on the street but behind the photo and facing the back was this collage showing how the model came together. Though I would share this with you as an idea for a gift (if the model is for someone else) but also as a history of the build if you put you models in cases with backgrounds. (Forgot to take a photo of the finished case before I gave it as a christmas present!!)
