unfortunately the American kit makers re-release their old (like as early as the sixties) model kits in new boxes along side their newly tooled kits. it makes it a minefield for new builders to get a subject that is a good buildable kit. They range from superb to mediocre.

Warped kits and misaligned decals are not that common, but bad parts fit is.

Well, I tried to get the model finished, but some of the parts didnt fit well together, but managed to modify them a little and got them to work. However now that was trying to see about placing the decals, but those also seem to be longer than the place they should be. Is this just the issue with this one model or have you guys seen this in other auto models?

I had the same issue with the kit. The body and frame were both warped. Luckily my lhs swapped the kit for a better one. It's still not perfect but definitely better. Really wished they would retool the kit. The details are really bad.

I haven't heard of any fit issues with that kit, so unless the frame or chassis is warped, I couldn't say for sure what's causing it. Can you post some pictures of your dilemma?

Problem putting together - 1970 Camaro by AMT

So in an attempt to building an auto model, I started with this 1970 Camaro by AMT, but I have found that there was a couple pieces missing. I thought, "it's for the engine so it will be okay" and besides this was a trial run too to get a feel for building autos. As I went along and now trying to get the frame on to the chassis, I am having problems. It would seem that it does not fit an when I finally do get it close to be on there correctly, still there something that does not allow it to sit very well.

Has anyone built one of these before or have had issue with the two major pieces not fitting together properly?
