The clear is from Testor's, their lacquer line. It is called Wet Look, One Coat. Don't be fooled by the "One Coat" label, you have to still add more than just one coat of clear.....

A very good article! I always fight to get a nice finish, maybe now it will go a little bit better. Say, you used Testors flat enamel for colour - what kind of clear went on top of that? (Brand? Acrylic?)

I still use this sytem no matter what method I use to paint. Using an airbrush still does not guarantee a perfect finish, these kind of results are achieved with a polishing system. This was an article I wrote for Scale Auto magazine last year and it is very informative.

Absolutely Stunning!  Looks like a Diecast from a mint not a plastic model!   If I could ask.... what type of paint did you use?  Did you airbrush?  Do you polish your paint jobs?  I, myself, have never been able to achieve such a shine like I see on yours.  So I'd like to know a bit of your technique if you don't mind me asking.  Thanks Mr. Cruz.

I gather that you airbrushed the paint job? I didn't see any of the standard equipment orange peel. Beautiful job!!

Thank you guys. Rommelkiste, I also think Revell could have offered another model instead of the 'Cuda but their previous offers were plagued with erroneous design flaws and issues, this one was more of an apology offering from them. I still see a few flaws but it's definitely better than the previous ones. Believe me, there are a lot of other kits we want offered but that's always easier said than done.

Cruz, I looked this over on the "other" forum and you sir, have done some beautiful work.  I do have a question though.  Did all of us car guys really need another Cuda kit?  Its just my opinion but with the workmanship you have shown here, I think you could have produced a equally stunning build from the kits we have now.  I am not questioning your choice, rather I am asking your opinion on the kit Mfg.'s choice of subjects.  Rather than another Cuda, I would have liked to have seen new tooling of some early 60's Dodge and Plymouth subjects with todays level of detail.  Am I the only one that is thinking this way?  Like to hear your opinion.
