Great model. The color is appropriate for the time period. The chrome trim, side mirrors, whitewalls, etc. would have been on the "Delux" model and there would have been upgrades in the interior as well. The engine would have been a flathead V-8. I do not recall when carpeting was put in the interior as an upgrade item but I think it was around that time frame. Anyone? IIR those cars had vacuum wiper motors run off of engine vacuum. In fact you can find vacuum wipers on some 1970s models. The 1940s cars are arguably the beginning of the modern automobile. IIR narrow white walls came into fashion at about 1972. Yours is a beautiful replica.

Great build Darrin! Outstanding paint job!Bow Down That's the reason why I don't build many cars. Can't get that gloss  paint down right. I usually build flat black street rods for that reason.

Looks really glossy!   Nice work!  Classy color and the white walls compliment it very well!
