My " Golden Hawk " came with the Paxton unit . I bought the car at the closing of our local dealership and then stored it for twelve years .

When I roaded it I had to literally go through it from tires to electrics , mechanicals and upholstery . It was darned well worth it though . I did upgrade to modern stuff where needed . I still had My AVANTI as a daily driver . The wife had the Chevies .

Aah ! Those were the days ! Real cars , Real beer and Real women ! and Real Football .Oops , straying here , Sorry .

Have you ever seen an AVANTI in G.M. Chevrolet " Tahitian Turquoise " and Kelsey/Hayes Wires  ? Man with those lines , it was gorgeous .

IIRC there was also a "Silver Hawk". The years that come to mind are 1955 through 1958, but that is a guess. Anybody know what the production years were. I know Studebaker offered a Paxton supercharger option but I'm not sure that applied to the Golden Hawk or the Silver Hawk, or what years they offered it, anyone? I had a 64 Studebaker Avanti that was supercharged.

Man, one of my favorite cars! My family had a '55 Studebaker Commander, which I learned to drive at age of about 16- it had a stick shift.  But it wasn't nearly as cool as those Hawks!   Good luck on the model, and send more WIP pics!

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

I would be interested in seeing if you can turn the rough resin body to look more like this!
