It was hard, it was crazy. But I figured a way to make some EXTREMLY realistic CF. Paint a THICK layer of black and let it dry half way. Then press a screen into it and then take it off. It should leave a nice texture on it. When it has dried drybrush it with metallic grey and let it dry. Then start painting on layers of Testors clear parts cement until it looks good to you.
I wouldn't do this on a small detailed piece. But I did it on a hood and it looks aswome! It took me about 5 tries to get it to look good. Be sure to give it PLENTY of time to dry so that the clear dries clear and so that no fingerprints make their way onto it. Try it out. Lemme know it it works for you.
Aerodynamics is for people who can't build engines.
