I really wish there were more full kits or conversion kits to create a typical city infrastructure truck such as  water dept, dept. of parks and rec, etc., with those utility beds and tool boxes on the back. I've got a plan to make one, but I'm not feeling up to scratchbuilding and having to print custom decals, so I haven't done it yet.

The trucks are called 'Technicals' because.. they're not.??

Finescale actually had an article about scratching a gun for a somalie technical, which was some huge anti-aircraft gun, that i copied.

You could alternatively buy a Jeep for a tray mounted gun. the italeri 1/24 jeep or toyota kits have a 50 cal.

I am considering buying the Meng kit.

Dunno about scratch building the gun, though.

I am wondering if that gun in back is a ZPU-1 like the one included in the Meng 1/35 scale pickup.

You could build that pretty easy with the Meng Ford F-350 and a little scratch.
