Looking for a '20s Packard truck
Posted by Hoggarth on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 11:48 AM

My boss has an old toy that he had as a kid and I would love to find and build a model of it. The toy is a steel Keystone dump truck. From what I've found it is a '20 something Packard.

Has there ever been a model of this, or something really close that I could mod?

Thanks!

is it feasible to find that toy and add detail to it?

Oh, he has the toy. I'm looking for a model kit of the actual truck. The toy is about 28" long and really heavy. I was hoping to build him a kit of the actual truck.

If you dont mind the model being smaller than the toy    Jordan  makes a 1918 packard  in 1/87 scale and it wouldnt take a lot to  kitbash it into a dump truck.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

I don't think I've ever heard of such a kit. Heck, I didn't even know Packard made trucks; they were famous way back then for their luxury cars of course.
