Post-apocalyptic Firebird
Posted by OctaneOrange on Saturday, January 24, 2015 6:10 PM

After the success of Mad Max 2, there was the "spaghetti apocalypse", when italian cinema flooded the market with cheap, low budget knockoffs. I Nuovi Babari (New Barbarians) aka Warriors of the Wasteland follows protagonist Scorpion in his 67 Firebird as he goes up against the golf-cart-gang as they (very slowly) attack various groups of survivors. The antagonist take great delight in killing fleeing survivors with crazy death tools on their buggies, like a spinning fan or giant spear. Sci-fi fans might get a kick out of his battlestar galactica inspired joystick.

The model is Revell's 68 Firebird, which i added all the movie props.

Ack I think I've seen that under the title 'Warriors of the Wasteland'!

Love what you've done here, great job!

Not sure what I liked better on the car, the plexiglass dome, what looked like dryer hoses off the hood, or the giant drill!
