Ecto 1A Ghostbusters II w/ working lights
Posted by Airborne_Trooper11B on Thursday, February 19, 2015 1:21 PM

I came across this old build I totally left hanging after my son was born. One day I'll pick it up and finish, but the time it took to wire this thing was just too much for a new dad! lol

COOL BUILD !

The vehicle does, truly, come alive with those lights.Big Smile

.

Only needs crossing the streams of two proton packs  to improve on those lights.........Whistling

the lights are good touch. If you can manage it, paragrafix photoetch set would be a worthwhile addition, as it has perforated panels for the side advert boxes. also i've found a supplier of a sound board for the siren if you're interested.

Thanks a lot guys! Octane Orange, I know what you're talking about. I already bought those because that was the only way you'd be able to see the lights on the advertisement board. If you look closely at the picture, you'll see where I left off. I was putting LED tape in those sections. That's where I got frustrated and put it down for a while. The wires for the tape kept coming loose whenever I tried putting the final section to the board on and making the lights cut out. Plus they weren't even close to bright enough when they were actually working. As crazy as this may sound, I'm really considering stripping all the lights from this model and started over with a new Ecto 1A model. I started that project when I was still fairly new to building, so I think I can do an even better job now. Either that or strip what I can from this one and put them in the Ecto-1 (from the first movie) I have in my stash, waiting to be built. We'll see! Lol
