Thanks!

Just ordered the truck from Megahobby and spotted the trailer for less on eBay. I would have supported MH on the trailer but I have to cut costs where I can.

Any of the reissued old 1/25th scale AMT big rig kits would be among the least expensive (not cheap)  kits current available.  The tractor and trailer would cost approximately $25 to $35 each. Revell has a range of 1/25th scale trucks.  The older reissue snap trucks run around $25, to the super detailed wrecker and trailers kits that will set you back $35 to $100.  As was mentioned above, Moebius has introduced a line of 1/25th scale modern International tractors and Great Dane van trailers over the last 5 years.  They retail for $45 to $60. Italeri has an extensive line of 1/24th scale tractors and trailers.  They retail for $45 to $85 or more.  1/25th and 1/24th scale big rig kits are not designed as back drop kits.  They are too detailed and expensive.

Looking for cheap model of semi truck and trailer in 1/24 or 1/25th

I'm not really into cars and trucks. But I am looking for an affordable model of a semi truck and regular box trailer. It doesn't have to be fancy. It just has to look fairly accurate and be in scale. I want the rig for a size comparison for my prehistoric models. I am currently sculpting and scratchbuilding a 24th scale Apatosaurus for my wife. I thought an everyday semi truck and trailer was the natural choice to show how big the beast was.

Probably not Moebius. I have heard that those models are expensive and much more detailed than I require.

BTW this is not my Apatosaurus sculpture in the picture.  I borrowed the image from Sideshow's excellent statue. It looks very beautiful. But my wife says $400 is too much to spend. So I am making my own.

Thank you!
