NEED ASSISTANCE FROM YOU CAR FREAKS!
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, March 20, 2003 6:02 PM
Howdy fellas, here's the problem: I had a plumber do some(okay, alot) of work at our lake house, and found that he 'used to' build, but not anymore-'till I talked to him about modeling. Now, since he's wanting to pull out some really bigass Corvette kit he's had for years and never touched. I told him I would check out the forum and see if any of you fellas could give me some top notch car modelling-related websites. Please post the addy if you can help. Thanks guys, Austin Model Car Club ROCKS!

Hmmm... here are a few you might try:

Deatail Master... http://www.detailmaster.com/

JoHann Models... http://www.johanmodels.com/

Model Express... http://www.modelexpress.net/

Scale Dreams... http://www.scaledreams.com/

Scale Motorsport... http://www.scalemotorsport.com/default.asp

Hope those help. I try to keep up links on my site too. If you find any other good ones I'd appreciate it if you would pass the links along to me... thanks...

Hey, man - I've found that just about any model mag is a great source of hints and tips that can help you build better. Don't think I'm getting paid for saying this, but FSM is very helpful, as is Scale Auto.. I know they're both Kalmbach products, but they almost always have very helpful info in them that I've never seen before. There's also no substitute for patience and practice, and when in doubt, practice on a cheap/scrap model before you do something permanent to the 'Vette

Cheers, LeeTree
