Auto Union scale models?
Posted by Texgunner on Monday, February 1, 2016 8:49 PM

Are there any scale model kits of the Auton Union racers from the 1930s out there?  All I can find are prebuilt diecast cars.  I'd sure like to try my hand at building one, it might be just the ticket to move me out of a serious modeling slump.  Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions!

I think there are more 1:43 kits than 1:24/5 kits.  However, I do remember at least one of the latter, of the rear-engined car.  Don't recall the mfg- was it Merit?  I'll look through my stuff later.

There was a 1/32 that was nice. Carrera makes a nice 1/24 streamliner.

Thanks for the info.  I'd prefer the larger scale, is that Carrera model an unassembled kit and not a finished diecast car?
