Construction Equipment .
Posted by Tanker - Builder on Saturday, April 9, 2016 9:14 AM

Hi Y'all ;

    I have heard and read many posts and the comments in person about construction Equipment .Hey , we all know that stuff ain't small right ? I can't imagine it in 1/24-1/25 at all !

    Now , for you fellows and ladies out there who are desperate for this stuff .There is an answer . You have to learn to think small . 1/87 scale small that is . Yes Dorothy , there is a major group of equipment out there .From backhoes , to the way bigger stuff .

     The stuff I found is ( or was ) Manufactured by KIBRI out of Europe and there is some Lindberg stuff floating around out there . Now here's a suggestion .Contact Cedar Creek Hobbies in Deshler , Iowa .They might be able to help you find the stuff. Deb and Dave are real jewels that way .

    Plus , keep your eyes open, there's stuff out there By Cornerstone ( a Walthers R.R. Product ) . Many pieces are out there .I do apologize that it isn't in a larger scale but like fully detailed 1/72 military vehicles , it's out there . Tanker - Builder

Ertl did make some 1/25 John Deere equipment back in the 70's.  They did make a JD 410 backhoe.  And I 'm sure  there is some O (1/48) scale stuff available from RR suppliers like Walthers and others.

Ah! Rob ;

  You have just scratched the surface ! The 1/87 stuff is full with such items as a once known heavyweight ( the Le Tourneau slip grader and others ) Many can be found at model railroad shows on vendors tables for very reasonable prices too ! Examples abound from a $5.00 pricepoint up to $30.00.

    I have been talking with my son and we've been talking about 1/72 liteskins too . Very detailed and fascinating .After all , how many HEMMTs have you seen in 1/25 ? . Then there's always the odd showing of REVELL .Once in a while they have at shops , REVELL'S big Mountain ripping rotary wheel mining machine !
