He asked me what my favorite car was right before X-mas and voila, Christmas gift. Told him he could help if interested. I think he has an eye on one of my armor kits and if I can arrange some weekend visits I'll set him up in my work area. One day builds and Testor enamels, those were the days. Thanks for the comments.

Was that the first model your nephew worked on, even if it was helping you? It looks great! I remember my first model when I was 10: Glue all over the place, fingerprints in the paint, you get the picture.

Yea, I let him do as much as I could and then tried to " clean " it up after he left each time. The hardest part is tamping down the instant gratification expectations of the younger generation. The pics don't show the fingerprints and glue. Thanks for the response,I and he  appreciate it.

I agree with Jim-that's a nice clean build-I built the same kit when I was about 10 yrs old-but that was about 50 years ago-assembled and painted in one day with green enamel paint...applied with a brush....ahh..thank you for bringing back those memories

You and your nephew did a fine job....ope to see some more joint builds soon.

This is my first car in 50 years. It was a X-mas gift from my 10 yr old nephew, he 'helped'in the building. The plastic is 'thin' and other than the frame hanging below the body and having to fudge the tail lights,it is what it is. I don't know how you car guys get that showroom finish.Hats off to you.
