Fire truck used on the show Emergency

Slight note on terminology. In fire department usage (in the US) Truck refers to vehicles with elevated access equipment, ladders, snorkels, and the like. What some people call a "pumper' is more properly called an "Engine." The 3-4 man crews manning those vehicles become Truck Companies and Engine Companies. Smaller vehicles are often (varies by department) called "Squads," Some departments refer to their ambulance units as Squads as well.

American La France did have a "California-style" cab, the Ward La France was more squarish looking, while the American La France was more rounded. American La France later also had a box style cab that came out in the late 70's and early 80's.

Shapeways designer Jersey14 makes a whole bunch of fire & rescue detail parts.    Many are based on NYFD equipment.   His readily available scales seem to be 1:87 (HO) and 1:64 (diecast?).

You can piece-part cabs,  equipment, and wheels to get to your desired configuration.

As I posted over on the ship forum, 3D printing is real and here to stay.  This is how you are going to get the unique/never modeled in a conventional medium subject.

It's an early 70's (probably 1971) Crown "Firecoach". Quite common back then.

Later episodes show a 1973 Ward LaFrance as E 51. 

I don't know of any scale model kit of this.
