Glencoe has a 1/72 MG TD, boxed with a 1/72 58 Thunderbird.  Old and ruff but there it is.

HI  "G" :

The one you speak of did come available much later .Sadly I don't think the molds even exist for the T.D. It was a dainty model , but , darned good looking .The car was available when REVELL was still marketing the 1/32 multi-piece cars we all remember today .Buick Roadmaster , Mercury Montclair Phaeton etc.   T.B.

I have the old Monogram TC with the die cast body in the stash, but I've never seen a TD Kit.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Hello Don and Andy .

Many , many years ago there was a T.D. on the market .Well loved and much built .However , this car was the first of REVELL'S multi - piece bodied cars to bite the dust . After they did the 59 Ford Hide-Away Hardtop. It kind of dissappeared .That was back in 59-60 or thereabouts . Sorry guys . My one version is still in the box with My original 1/25 Aurora car series . To much red tape to get to it .  T.B.

Andy, I had a '53 TD.  I have never seen a kit of the TD.  Minicraft does make a great 1:16 TC. It is an old kit but still available (repopped several times). It has very nice wire wheels (injection molded, but pretty fine molding) and can be built into a very nice model.

MG TD model help
Posted by B-36Andy on Thursday, June 30, 2016 9:12 PM

When I was a kid, my dad bought a 52' MG TD. What a car! I think it had a oak frame and parts of the body had a wood framework that were covered in black laquered sheet iron.

Does any kit manufacturer make a model or kit of this car? I would like to find one.

Andy
