Future can "Pebble" when airbrushed.  I would dip them like an aircraft canopy.

When I do that I use a plastic box as a clean room.  Dip, touch corners for run off on an index card,  and right in the little clean room to dry for 24 hours.  Then take out and air cure for another 24 hours before handling.

 

The point is trying to avoid even a speck of dust.

 

Nice tip with the index card, I've been using a paper towel but that adds to the dust. I'll try the index card trick next time.

Thanks everyone for all the replies and feedback, I found all the answers and experience to be very helpful. 

I prefer to dip them as well. I don't like the airbrush blowing stuff around and having it stick to the glass with a fresh coat on it.

For car glass I would dip it looks i.e. Aircraft canopies.

     I have to think the last time I even used the stuff . Had a bad experience with it some years back . ruined a perfectly good model applying the stuff . I however , Will Not ! use it on clear parts ! I find the Novus two part polish system negates the need for it .

I knew I had air brushed it before, but didn't remember any details until rob's reply above.  Yes, the finish is fine, you don't thin it at all, but may want to add a little retarder to slow the drying time down a bit so the brush is easier to clean.  I live in a hot environment, so having the paint dry quickly, especially in the air brush is an issue. 

Because you still have to clean the brush when done, I've had just as good luck dipping the part into a tub of the stuff.

I have not airbrushed it myself, but I do know you don't need to thin it to airbrush. Just make sure your part is free of oils and fingerprints and it has a nice dust free place to dry.
