A BLAST From the PAST ! ! !
Posted by Tanker - Builder on Friday, November 25, 2016 11:19 AM

Can you say Holy Cow ?

When I bought these vehicles , I forgot how long it had been since I saw them . Yes , the Minicraft release of the old Gowland and Goland " Highway Pioneers " .

What a pile of flash , stuck trees and weird people . Not to forget the Lack of chrome  , misaligned pieces and just plain awful moldings . I built these as a kid ?

When I think about it , these have to be the releases from the late sixties . Why ? Used to be if you wanted the wheels to stay on the antique cars , you had to heat a knife and press the end of the axles .

Now they have a little hubcap type thingy you glue on the end of the axles . By the way , It's the only part that fits right !

Still going to be fun in a way .Yup ! There's a lot of good memories stuffed in those boxes even after so long .Talk about a time machine !

Nicest part . I got consequitive sets . So there's five sets from number one to number five ! Each four cars ! Gotta go , the cars are calling . Bye !

The thing most important . I forgot how weird the cars went together ! Bodies on the sedans are in halves with the seats and roofs and stuff molded in and on there ! Very hard to make them nice , but I will !

No , sorry , I am going to put todays skillsets to work on them . I still think they are something special .  I believe they would look kickbutt with all the chrome and stuff !
