Very nicely done, Don. The build and finish look great, since you related the (alleged) flaw I have looked and looked, can't find it. Hope you don't close the engine bay up.

If you haven't seen it there's a good review including some wonderful photos at https://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/builds/it/build_it_4701.shtml
After reading it I find myself very tempted
jeffpez I'm intreaged by this kit because it resembles something I really want but am reluctant to spend the required money on, Italeri's 1/12 Fiat Mefistofele https://www.scalehobbyist.com/catagories/Model_Cars/fiat-mefistofele-21706cc-race-car/ITL00004701/product.php?s=0&t=11&u=4&pg=1&ppp=48&sb=stocknumber&so=a&era=9. You and me both! I have long been intrigued by that car. I forget the mag, but maybe a year or so ago there was a great feature story about someone who had restored one.

Toshi I love the detail you're putting into it. Toshi

So far it is an OOB build. Only extra I plan is a tube/manifold bundling the plug wires.
I love the detail you're putting into it. I never thought of macro photography to see any build errors. I don't see any issues, everything looks fantastic!

Looks like an old kit. i love how it's looking, an era that's fading away. Well done.

Made a lot of progress over the weekend- got the frame rails installed and the rear part of the body mounted.
I'll try to shoot a picture of the box today.
Well, the bond on that cam cover is too strong. It is going to have to stay that way. It would be a shame to glue the hood(s) closed on that thing, as the rest of the engine looks so nice.
I had a heck of a time yesterday. Just one long unlucky day. I spent most of day looking for lost parts. I lost four parts- eventually found them all. Two were in a new trouble spot. My workbench has drawers on both sides. Apparently I had left some drawers ajar, and the parts fell off the main surface and into the drawers! I had subsequently closed the drawers, but I had a heck of a time before I thought to check there.
It's going to be a great build!

Very hard to detect!
midnightprowler Flaws? What flaws?
Flaws? What flaws?
The left cam cover is cockeyed, and the aluminum paint has been worn off a few spots on the engine block. Glad I havd some CA debonder to remove the cam cover!
Been working on a old kit from my stash- a Revival 1:20 Alfa P3. Got the engine together, and the floorboards attached. One thing nice about macro photography is that I can see flaws in the pictures that I did not notice with my eyes, and can now go back and fix the bad spots.
