Ah !

 That's a situation I am quite familiar with . Now that you,ve made that clear I do like the smoother wheels though . I get quite frustrated when I cannot do a change to something I like better . I have a 64 Impala " Low Rider "- Teensy wheels . Can't stand them , But nothing else would work in that configuration , So built it as is .

   Still looks kind of neat , Guess they grow on you ! Still a nice build though and I am a pushover for any shade of blue anyway . T.B.

Thanks for your comments T-B but they are the only wheels in the kit and I did improve the look from the chromed fluted wheels that were on offer. I may well have changed them for smaller diameter white walls if the choice was there, but unfortunately it wasn't.

There were though a lot of extra plastic and chromed parts from perhaps the standard kit

I also don't like the raised 'Donk' look either.

   I like what you did . One reservation I have is personal though .I do not care at all for oversize wheels on anything but off-road trucks ! The " Donk" type wheel does nothing for me and in my eye otherwise detracts from an absolutely gorgeous model .. T.B.

Thanks Mike for your comments, yes I've seen a few 1:1 cars on hot rod sites with this style of wheel so when I saw the backs I had to try this out! I've now got to look on the shelves for the next build, and it might be another woodie!

Very clever way to fabricate the wheels. That smooth look is starting to be a bona fide style here in the US. A really good looking build, I also enjoyed seeing your T with the trailer. Thanks for posting the photos!

That's what the front of the wheels where like! To me not nice! At least I cleaned them up, and added the 'woodie' touch. Thanks for your comments.

Now this is as usual a very interesting build, one of a kind, too! I don't like the wheel that much, though - they could usesome kind of spokes or holes!
