I wouldn't let my fourteen year old grandson try to build it .( Besides He likes Planes better )  T.B.

The Revell/Germany 427 Cobra S/C is the same kit released in the US several times by Revell and Monogram since 1988. At its original release it was very well regarded feturing a very detailed chassis and drive train. The 427 engine is the best in 1/24. By now the molds may be worn and that may cause some assembly problems. The lack of door panels is common in photos of these cars and may be a delete option on this model since the S/C configuration was meant to be a step closer to the full race version from the normal street 427 Cobra. As I recall there are numerous extra parts to do a full race or totally street options. Even with the age of this kit, it is still the best 427 Cobra available and the other contenders aren't even close. I have built several of these and had no issues with them. Sorry you are having problems with the kit, but in my opinion there is no better option.

Hi ;

 I just wanted to say something about this kit . You may not like it , but here goes . To be honest here . The old flat fendered Cobra - 289 by either M.P.C. or A.M.T. was a much better model .

     This one probably suffers from age and ease of molding . The suspension parts have to be clamped seriously to fit together . It's almost like they are trying to get 1/25 and 1/24 parts to fit together normally .

 That and too much chrome where it doesn't belong . Door latches , but no door inner panels . Even the Monogram 1/43 offering from years back did better on both these areas . So much so , I was able to open both doors and the trunk on this little beauty .

    I will not be doing so on this model ! The hood is so loose that I have to add a .010 strip to the outside edge to get a tighter fit . Maybe when I paint it , it will tighten up more . There is no real clear way to mount the dash . Many will get in trouble here .

 For those of you whom are truly dyslexic , Please ask for help . The instructions only deal with one side of certain suspension parts . This even confused me momentarily.

  I am certainly glad I didn't pay full price for this kit . I would've asked for my money back .  It's NOT for beginners ! . T.B.
