Thanks Don. I had a Revell Porsche 914 Rat that I've just finished, that was as brittle as, well brittle, the body in 3 bits but I rebuilt it in the end! I'm building a Monogram Nascar Kellogs Lumina with Greg Sacks decals, and I've just started painting things like the engine block and roll cage and had to wash it a second time before the paint would stick on! Mikes Decals are sending me the Greg Sacks Kellogs decals so no body painting needed.

   I like that very good looking car . I only have one .That's the car that Mr . Earnhardt passed in . I definitely went out of my way on this . Sadly after some moves it looks like a junk box refugee .

   The Decals are still sharp as ever . They are under a coat of Boyd clear so I am gonna wash it and put it on my desk. Keep up the good work ! T.B.

Very nice!  I have been trying to build a kit from that series, but the kit had problems- maybe stored too long at high temps or something.  Everything except the body went together very nicely, though the plastic was brittle and I broke a few parts.  But the body was terrible.  No matter what paint or primer I used, it reacted with body surface.  And the body was so brittle, in trying to sand out the wrinkled paint, the body just shattered in several pieces :-(

Thanks mississippivol. This was one of of the first kits issued for this variation. As I can't paint the raised tyre lettering I scuffed the markings off then looked in my tyre decal packs and found these decals. Goodyear decals are licenced so can't be issued in aftermarket packs, and there are very few kits where Goodyear tyres are supplied that offer the decals as well. 

Thanks Jim. I used no paint on the body except for the slightly out blue rear and red front. I washed and buffed up the white plastic shell first before laying up the decals, then gave in two coats of gloss clear auto acrylic.

I love that Alan Kulwicki Tbird! You must have a real early release of that Tbird kit as the 5 spoke wheels were not in the later issues. I'm not sure of the tire markings, did they come with the decals?

Great build Pat!  Love the V_E_R_Y Bright white top color. What did you use as a base?
