If those are vertical compartments, depending on how thick the plastic is, you could drill in from the outside and use wire to make a hinge so they would swing open to show off the detail.  I agree, would be a shame to hide all that nice work.

Might be able to do the same with the outer doors on the compartments as well, at least the ones that don't have roll up doors.

Hat off for the nice job so far, will be watching the rest of your build.

There are handles at the bottom of the outer shelving I'm wondering if I can some how make the parts hinged to show all the detail, there is loads of shelving like this and it would be a shame to hide all the detail.

Yes I could just not glue them so they are removable but I would like to try and make them as they are on the real thing.

MAN TGM come in hundreds of variations, so getting exactly this one can be tricky. Then again, those babies are assembled on the same line and will have a very similar finish, so the photos you've found will tell you what is painted the same and what is painted different colour, what is left in natural metal and stuff. Keep on looking, the more real stuff references you look at, the better your model can be. Good luck with your build and have a nice day

Thanks mate I did try googling the chassis to get a better idea but I just kept getting pictures of other models of this.

Yeah, those modern truck models can be nicely detailed! You're doing great here. Try to introduce some colour variation, it will look even better. It's details - things like oil filter or air dryer cartridge can be different colour than the rest of the frame, that looks nice. Or you can try doing data plates on air tanks.

Thanks for the suggestion but, that does seem a bit to dangerous to me. I'll keep that in mind for a last resort.

So you say the paint is flaking off after drying?

If so, you might try a radical solution - stipple it lightly with lacquer thinner. Like I said - this is drastic. You have to go light so as not to lose detail, and you best try it on the backside first. Then be sure not to touch the parts until after the lacquer thinner dried COMPLETELY - give it several hours.

I wonder what could be causing this - didn't have it before.

Not sure what's happening here. Trying to paint the rad and fan blade washed the sprue as normal in soapy water but the paint won't stick I've primed it and taken it off 3 times (other parts on the same sprue were fine first time) the rad and the fan blade just won't seem to take the paint (it looks like a grease problem) I've scrubbed it with meths even but still get the same problem.

Help.
