Porsche 919 LM 2017 Detailing?

That seems like a whole lot of $$ for a kit that appears to be not particularly well  molded. Any chance Tamiya has one in the works?

Hybrid engines ala, 919 or F1 are extremely complex, and can't be seen in any magazine or on the web as the manufacturers are extremely secretive as they are designed and built by themselves.

The 911 RSR is made at present by any model kit maker as yet that I know of. Your might see one soon by a diecast model maker, either 1/43 or 1/18, but that defeats the object of wanting to build one.

Scratchbuilding an engine if you have not scratchbuilt anything is a tall order.

I doubt you will find a 2017 model car kitted yet.  Someone may sell a trans kit they are making.

I think your best bet is Automotive Forums/ automotive art/ car modeling/ WIP-motorsports.  You can ask your question there.

I know nothing about the kit or the subject, but I agree that it seems like a lot for a car kit with no engine. Unlike a tank kit that an engine's not that big a deal, with car kits, the engine is often one of the big detailing points. Even real cars at shows have the engine on display.
