What is in the garage

Oh man, keep at it leemitcheltree!! - I have a 74B roadster, and I LOVE it like my pride and joy. I went to model it...and there's only about 2-3 kits made, but they ALL have right hand drive! I bought two of the Airfix models...one I made for my father for christmas. He has a 76. I used the included rubber bumper, but the rest was up to me . I ended up carving my own dashboard and center console and scratch-built all kinds of detail pieces (headrests, luggage rack) When it was finished, it looked like his car - dead on.

MY MG however, is still in the box, taking a back seat to a USS constitution wooden ship, and a few other "blast from the past" models I'm doing for friends.

I was so excited because they finally put out a 320i!! an old 78 was my first car. It comes with a turbo kit for racing, but the cool part is that mine had the turbo as a regular car. (took off like a JET ) I painted it what I called "old-man-pants blue) and did numerous kitbashing stuff to it. Right down to the dice in the mirror, and the dave matthews window sticker.

NOTHING is more rewarding in car modeling than being able to build a car that is truly unique. They make the best gifts, and often present the BIGGEST challenges.

I'm on my second Miata. The red '96 I'm currently driving replaced a nearly identical red '91.

It's funny this should come up. I modeled the first one using Tamiya's kit a loooong time ago, as an "Almost Straight From the Box" feature for FSM. Later, when I worked at Scale Auto Enthusiast, the same model picked up a set of 20th anniversary decals and a luggage rack full of magazine boxes and appeared in the anniversary issue.

Last weekend I decided it was time to build a more up-to-date model, so I dug out an unbuilt copy of the kit and started work on it. I'll have to post some pictures when I get it done.

ive only got the Mk 1 Mini from Tamiya i havnt seen the others in kit form

I have an 88 Toyota Supra Turbo and in process of modeling!!

I've got a 1979 and a 1980 Honda Accord - a two door hatch and a 4 door - I'd be very surprised if there was ever a model made of these two cars.
Then there's the 1971 MGB GT in the driveway awaiting restoration. I'll get to drive it....one day.

I just have a 96 blazer, don't think there are any kits of it. Did have a Taurus SHO that a drunk remodeled for me that I have seen a kit for that I want to build though.

I have a 1987 Jeep Wrangler and I have not built a model for it yet. I know that Tamiya makes one but as of yet I have been unwilling to lay down the cash that many are wanting for it. I have a 1992 Eagle Talon non-turbo that I am preparing to rebuild the engine on and I don't think there has been a kit made of any of the 1g's, at least I haven't run across one yet. When I was a bit younger I built a model of my old 1965 Mustang coupe...it has not survived my many moves. One day I will build another and perhaps even acquire another Mustang too!

A 1990 MX5 which has been reproduced courtesy of the Tamiya kit. Its stablemate a 1996 Mazda Capella has not been modelled to my knowledge (why would you?). I race a 1986 MR2 and have recently purchased the Fujimi kit to replicate it. I rallied a Mini Cooper in the mid 1970's and have had the Tamiya kit for about 10 years waiting to be turned into "our" car. She-who-must-be-obeyed has said I can put a rollbar into the MX5 so I'll be racing that later in the year and another Tamiya kit will have to be bought for the racing MX. My first car was a 1962 Hillman Minx and I have a well used Dinky Toy of that car!

I have a 2001 Z06 Corvette model that I modified to look like my dad's 2004 C5. It is Quicksilver metallic with custom red interior. It's awesome. Soon he's going to put a twin turbo system in it. Now I have to build another kit with the turbos And I built a model of MY 2001 Z06. Yes, a REAL one! I had to correct the tranny and other little things. I got the real car as a graduation present. I don't drive it too often, its a major gas guzzler!

1962 Olds Dynamic 88 2 door hardtop and 40 trophies !! Would love to model it but as far as I know no kit has ever been issued, not even a "promo".
