Third model build: actually a practise model before I start on the swag of awewsome models that now fill an entire cupboard.
Disappointing model in that there was little detail (not even an engine). But a good chance to practise the paint - and boy was I glad I did. Total disaster.
Didnt wait for the paint to cure / breathe out before the clear coat. Didnt' wait long enough for the clear coat to cure. Left the tape on too long. You name it - I did it!
So many lessons learned (and applied to the Beetle Cabrio which turned out great). And somehow this car still photographed decently.

...and you can see the diaster areas her really well. Front left fender looks like it's been in an accident!
