Don

Lindberg F80 plane model.

Little tidbit about that kit.

It was one of the first plastic model kits after WWII.

Mine will probably be minus 'Mr Pilot' when I build it.

That goes for the joystick too

That takes care of those bothersome small parts!Smile

Pilot takes a bunch of paints that I will forego getting this time.

Small parts gluing tip(You probably know this one)

Put spot of CA Glue where you want part to go.

Dip end of part in CA catalyst.

Touch them together and hold for several seconds. All done!

BTW: Have Minnesota Twins bumper sticker in the den I picked up from a Walmart up

there when I was traveling for awhile.

I have a friend just finishing up a 1:16 Stutz.  It is looking great.

You may be surprised at how small the parts are on big scale ship kits.  They include very fine detail.  32nd scale airplanes are probably better, although even here there is a tendency by kit mfg to include smaller details in kit, but maybe not as much as with ships.

Finally ended up at the right kit for me to build reentering hobby.

This kit has large easy to handle parts.

You put the parts 'on it' not 'in it'.

The 1/24 parts and locations where they had to go was a little too much for me.

I am not much of a 'fine work' person.

So this as me thinking about the larger scale ship models also.

Or at least larger pieces in the kits ship and plane models.
