I remember in early sixties building every available Smer (or whoever it was back then) F-1 car.

Just picked a kit out of my stash too, the ancient Triumph TR4A from Airfix - was inspired to build it when I saw a 1:1 TR6 at a friend's house. All around the house, in fact......

Here's hoping I can finish mine first! the kit is quite nice..

Thanks John. Yes Classic car racing is very popular here in the UK. We have the Silverstone Citcuit just 5 miles away and they have various large race meetings there throughout the year.

There are a number of kits that depict the 1950's Alfa's and this is the SMER version of the 'Alfetta'...............

 

Although the kit has been on my shelves for a few years and the decals have 'yellowed' I still used them for a period effect.
