Tommy Ivo's Showboat 4 engine dragster

I remember building one of these dragsters when I was a kid. I am thinking about buying one from ebay. I think it would look really cool with those 32 chrome exhaust stacks. Does anyone have any experience or comments regarding this kit?

Built one too. Was a long, long time ago. With what you know now and present day supplies I think it could be made into a pretty good build. It will probably need a little TLC. Good luck with it (if the price isn't too high).

I have this kit in my stash. I was thinking how awesome it would be to plumb and wire 4 Buick engines and the chassis. Sad that Tommy painted them Chevy orange!! Someday, but I have too many in progress kits right now to start another. Gene Beaird, Pearland, Texas

I got to sit in this dragster at a Buick dealership in Cincinatti way back when. For a twelve year old, it was quite a thrill!

My kit has just arrived from Amazon. I am not going to start this kit until a finish my B-24.

I also ordered four pre-wired magnetos  from Pro Tech.

When I opened the box I saw something wrapped in bubble wrap. I hd no idea what it could be.

I opened the bubble wrap and inside was a prepainted statue of Tommy with a really dark sun tan. Very strange.

How did he see where he was going?

OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...

It is a very strange dragster. There are 8 exhaust stacks that are directly in line with the drivers face. Tommy must have been driving blind.

Didn't really matter that much, the steering was virtually nonexistent with the spinning tires anyway.
