Tamiya makes a thin masking tape for curves (3mm). Use this for the pinstripe, then mask each side off of it.  If you put blue over red, or red over the blue, the top coat will not be as true as if it were over the white.

From a previous thread, I am building the 1:16 Super Petty using Zero paints. 

I primed with Tamiya white, then a light coat of Zero Silver to highlight blemishes.

Now I need to paint the body Petty Blue with a large zone of STP Red. Am wondering about the proper order or should I attempt to mask twice keeping a sharp border?

Thus the question becomes, will either of those colors effectively cover the other? 

Also notice in the box art that there is a very thin white pinstripe betwwen the red and blue.
