Thanks guys.
Remember , common sense is not common.
I built that kit when it first came out back in the '60s. Great build Pat!
bobbaily ....and I think the car you built was used in 'The Girl from U,N.C.L.E.'

The Piranha was used on both series. The Man and Girl From U.N.C.L.E.
Nice build Pat-given that it's an old AMT kit, you had your work cut out for you-I remember building the drag racing version 'back in the day'....and I think the car you built was used in 'The Girl from U,N.C.L.E.'

Thanks Gene.
Greg That looks great, and also great fun. I loved that show. Illyia Korriaken (sp?) and Han Solo, right? I don't recall the car, though.

Napolean Solo and Illya Kuryakin. Nice work on the car! I did that car when the kit was new. . No paint, though back then,

Thanks midnightprowler. Yes it's a Corvair flat six, here before the body top goes on.
Thanks Bugatti Fan. I didn't unfortunately, too far/too much cost.
Cool. Does the kit have engine detail?

Nice model Pat. I have a feeling someone has done a set of photo etched parts for this subject.
Did you get to Telford a couple of weeks back?
Thanks guys. Yes if the Corvair did continue this would have been an ideal base car. Yes Greg I watched every episode of 'The Man from Uncle' and I never saw the car either!
Hi There !
Nice find and build . Now did you know that if G.M. had continued the Corvair , this might,ve been the result ? Yup ! T.B.
It reminds me of the old Lotus Europa.
Thanks guys. It looks OK but it was one of the worst kits I've built in donkeys years!
No I didn't mount any weapons in it or add the double propeller shafts at the back.
Beautiful work there, Pat!
(Did you include the hidden weapons panel, and the rockets in the doors?)
Greg
George Lewis:
The kit is based on a car from 'The Man from Uncle' TV series.
