Revell 2010 GT500
Posted by maxfax on Monday, February 4, 2019 7:26 AM

Hello everyone,

I've just completed my GT500. I've also discovered that I cannot get a good finish- I painted and stripped the body twice and still its not a nice gloss finish. Anyways, I own the 2014 version of this car and had to have it as a model.

Thanks,

Rob

Nice 'Stang.

Looks like that's the 1/12 kit? It appears to be hard to acquire.

Beautiful work at every turn. All of it looks immaculate. The seats look like real leather!

Ahh. The pic with your gloved hand makes the model look BIG.

I like it! Very well done. To me, the gloss shine looks quite good.

Nice looking model despite the troubles with the finish.  A good modeler can overcome setbacks and problems because they happen on every model.

Is the bottom of the real car that tan color?

Thanks,

Yes, it is. I took a picture of under my car, and based the colour on that. I also found a few examples on the net. Never really had a clear full under view though. Its a mix of Tamiya titanium gold and khaki.
